The Haunted House
By Claire McAndrew

Have you ever been in a haunted house? Well, I have.
First, you will probably wait in line for awhile.
Then, as you get closer, you will see the scary entrance.
When we finally got to the entrance, there was a crazy person jumping all around the area.
Getting Inside
Once you get inside, it’s going to be dark and smoky. After you walk a little bit you're going to be in a hallway and there will be crazy jump scares by scary looking people with ugly faces.
There might be a coffin and someone might be in it, or a huge jail cell with bars where someone is hiding on the other side.
Being Cautious
Be cautious of open windows, coffins, and people in the hallway holding a knife. When I was in a haunted house I heard creaks and creepy sounds. If you go in alone it might be a little bit scarier, but when you're with someone it's not as scary because you can hold on to them.
Being Scared
When I was going into the haunted house I thought it would be a piece of cake, but as I was walking in, I already had goosebumps. It was dark and foggy. I heard noises like creaks and squeaks from bats but then, I heard footsteps. I couldn't tell if they were coming from behind me or if it was coming from in front of me, but the good thing was that they can't touch me. As we continued walking it got brighter. I thought it was the end of the trail, but it wasn't. I heard more footsteps, but when I looked straight ahead, I saw someone dressed up in a creepy costume holding a bloody knife. We tried to go around him, but he wouldn't let us, we tried to go the other way, but he wouldn't let us, so we went under him! When we finally got past him he started to chase us! We were so concerned about him chasing us that we didn't even realize we made it out. Then, when we turned around he was GONE!
Conclusion
When I finally saw the light again, I was positive it was the end of the trail and I sure hoped I wouldn’t have nightmares.
